The iPhone 14 family is really two different phones sold under one name. The 14 and 14 Plus look like a refined iPhone 13, with a notch and a 60Hz display. The 14 Pro and Pro Max have the Dynamic Island, an always-on screen and 120Hz. That split matters, because it changes which part goes in and how much an iPhone 14 screen replacement costs.

We replace them at 1927 W Chicago Ave in West Town, and most take about 30 minutes. Prices start at $140, and you get yours before we open the phone.

Which iPhone 14 do you have?

  • iPhone 14. $140 with an OLED replacement. It's a 6.1-inch display with a notch.
  • iPhone 14 Plus. $140. The same phone with a 6.7-inch display, so an iPhone 14 Plus screen repair uses a larger panel.
  • iPhone 14 Pro. Call for a price. A 6.1-inch display with the Dynamic Island.
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max. $150. For an iPhone 14 Pro Max screen replacement, tell us if you rely on the always-on display, so we can confirm how the part behaves.

Look in Settings, General, About if you aren't sure which you have. If you can't read the screen, the Dynamic Island cutout is the easy tell: a pill shape means Pro, and a notch means 14 or Plus.

A phone designed to be opened

The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus were a turning point. Apple redesigned the inside so that the back glass and the screen can each come off on their own. It doesn't change the screen job much, but it means a cracked back on those two phones is a simpler repair as well. If both sides broke in the same fall, we can do them together. See iPhone back glass repair for those prices.

The 14 Pro and Pro Max keep the older design, with the back bonded to the frame. Their screens are no harder, but the back is a laser job.

Why the crack might not be the whole story

A hard drop can pass straight through the frame to the display. A phone can look like it only has a corner crack, then show a green line a week later. If you see lines, dead touch areas or a dark bloom spreading from the impact point, the OLED underneath has failed and it won't heal. Back up the phone now, because a failing display can go black with no warning.

Crash Detection, the accelerometers and the cameras don't depend on the screen. But the proximity sensor and the front cameras sit right behind it, so we test those after the swap.

Should you go to Apple?

Check your coverage first. An iPhone 14 is usually past its original warranty, but if you still pay for AppleCare+, Apple's service fee can beat our price, and you get a factory part. Without coverage, compare Apple's out-of-warranty price on its iPhone repair page with the table on this page.

We make sense when you want it done today, you're out of coverage or you don't want to wait for an appointment. Your apps and photos stay on the phone, and most people are out the door within the hour.

What changes after the repair

The screen works normally, with full touch and brightness. A parts notice appears, and True Tone can usually be carried over from your old screen if it can still be read. Treat the phone as splash-resistant at best, because no repair can promise factory water resistance. There's more on all of this on our iPhone screen repair page.

Have your passcode ready, take off the case, and back up first if you can. Book a repair or walk in. Our screen cost guide explains what affects the price, and you can compare with the iPhone 13 screen page or iPhone 15 screen page if you aren't sure which phone you have.

Needed my laptop keyboard replaced, but I couldn’t be without my laptop for a few days. I bought the replacement keyboard on Amazon and found him through Yelp. After watching a YouTube video, I quickly realized it was more complicated than I wanted to tackle myself! He replaced the keyboard within a couple of hours, and I picked it up the same day. Straightforward, fast, and clearly knows what he’s doing. Highly recommend!

Came in with a iPhone SE 2016 with 64% battery health. Was told at another store that they wouldn’t be able to help. At Nova Fix Alex fixed it for me in under an hour for $60! Super worth it, fast and efficient!! Thank you!

What do people ask us?

How much is an iPhone 14 screen replacement?

An iPhone 14 is $140 with an OLED replacement, the 14 Plus is $140 and the 14 Pro Max is $150. The 14 Pro reads Call for price, so phone us and we will confirm it. You get the price before any work starts.

Will Face ID still work?

Yes, as long as the drop didn't damage it. The Face ID sensors stay with your phone during a screen swap. We test it before we start and again afterward. If it failed before you came in, a new screen won't bring it back, and Apple is the only place that can replace those paired parts.

Will I get a non-genuine display message?

Yes, expect one. After an independent screen repair, the phone shows a notice on first unlock and again five days later, then lists the display as Unknown in Parts and Service History. It doesn't stop the phone from working. Apple says it can affect trade-in value, which is worth knowing if you plan to trade in soon.

Can you do it the same day?

Usually, yes. Most iPhone screens take about 30 minutes, and we keep common parts on hand. Walk in during open hours, or book a time so we can have your part ready. The 14 Pro and less common versions may take a quick call first, so check before you make the trip.

Does the iPhone 14 Pro cost more to repair?

Usually, yes. The Pro panel has the Dynamic Island cutout, an always-on display and a 120Hz refresh rate, all of which make it a more expensive part than the iPhone 14 screen. Call us with your exact model and we will confirm today's price before you come in.
