Galaxy phones break in their own ways. A drop that cracks an iPhone's glass can leave a Samsung's glass intact and kill the OLED underneath, which shows up as a black screen, a bright green line or a spreading ink blot. So Samsung phone repair starts with checking which layer failed, and we do that at the counter on Chicago Ave in West Town before you pay for anything.

Why Galaxy screens cost what they cost
Samsung's screen repair is mostly the price of the panel. The glass and the OLED are bonded into one part, so a crack means replacing both. On many models that panel arrives pre-fitted to the phone's middle frame, and on some it includes a new battery too. It costs more and it fits better, especially if the frame got bent in the drop. A screen-only panel costs less but needs a straight frame.

Curved and flat screens
Curved panels are harder to remove and refit, and they are easy to crack during the job, which is why they take longer. The Galaxy S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra are curved. The whole S24 family is flat, and that makes those repairs more straightforward. Older S and Note phones curve as well.
Is it the screen, the battery or something else?
- Black screen but the phone rings or vibrates. The display has failed, and the phone behind it is fine.
- Green or pink line after a software update. It is a known OLED fault. Check with Samsung before paying anyone, since it has covered this on some models in some regions.
- Phone reboots at 30% battery. The battery is worn. The Samsung Members app can run a battery check under Diagnostics, and it costs nothing to try.
- Moisture detected won't clear. Let the port dry for a few hours with the phone off. If it stays, there may be dirt or corrosion in the port. Don't force a charge.
- Screen lifting from the frame. It is probably a swollen battery. Stop charging it and bring it in soon.
Protect your data before a repair
Most Samsung phone repair jobs don't touch your data, but back up first if the phone still works. Samsung phones also have Maintenance mode, under Settings, then Battery and device care. It hides your apps, photos and accounts while someone else has the phone, and it is worth turning on before handing a phone to any repair shop, ours included.
When Samsung is the better call
If your phone is under warranty or Samsung Care+, start with Samsung. A covered fix is hard to beat. Samsung's authorized service also gives you factory parts, which matters for water resistance and resale on a newer flagship. If your phone is out of coverage, or you want it back today, independent Samsung phone repair usually makes more sense.
Skip the repair altogether if your Galaxy no longer gets security updates and the fix would cost more than a good used replacement. We will tell you if that is the case.

How much does it cost to fix a Samsung Galaxy?
It depends on the model and the part. Flagship S series screens are the most expensive, because the OLED panel is the costliest part in the phone. A series screens and batteries cost less. Call with your exact model or send a quote request with a photo, and you will get a number before you come in.
Is it worth replacing a Samsung phone battery?
Usually, if the phone still gets Android and security updates. A new battery fixes fast drain and random shutdowns for far less than a new phone. If your Galaxy no longer gets updates or has a cracked screen as well, add those costs together first. Then compare the total with what a newer phone would cost.
Do you repair curved Galaxy screens?
Yes. Curved phones like the S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra take more care, because the glass wraps around the edge and the panel is harder to remove without damage. The S24 family, including the Ultra, is flat. Tell us your model when you call and we will explain what's involved.
Will my fingerprint sensor work after a screen repair?
It should, but you will set it up again. Most S series phones read your fingerprint through the display, so a new screen means registering your fingers again. Some replacement panels respond differently to thick screen protectors. We check the sensor before you leave. Have your PIN with you so we can finish that test.
Do you repair foldable Galaxy phones?
Call first. Fold and Flip models have an inner folding screen that costs far more than a normal panel, and it is often better handled through Samsung if your phone is covered. We can look at outer screens, batteries and ports case by case. Tell us the model and what happened, and we will give a straight answer.
Do you fix other Android phones?
