Whether you should bring an iPhone 16 to us at all depends on one thing: your coverage. Many of these phones still have AppleCare+, and if yours does, Apple's service fee will usually beat any independent quote. If it has lapsed, an iPhone 16 screen replacement at our Chicago Ave shop saves you the appointment and, in most cases, gets you the phone back the same day.

We replace iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max screens at 1927 W Chicago Ave in West Town. Call first, since we confirm price and stock for your exact version.

Check your coverage first

It takes a minute. Open Settings, General, then About, and look for Coverage. Or enter your serial number at checkcoverage.apple.com.

  • AppleCare+ active. Go to Apple. You pay a set fee and get a factory screen.
  • AppleCare+ lapsed, or never bought. Compare Apple's out-of-warranty price on its iPhone repair page with our quote.
  • Carrier insurance. Look at your deductible. It may be more than a repair, and a claim can count against you.

Four phones, four panels

Each phone in this family uses a different panel, so an iPhone 16 Pro screen replacement isn't the same part as the 16's.

  • iPhone 16. 6.1 inches, 60Hz, with the Dynamic Island.
  • iPhone 16 Plus. 6.7 inches, 60Hz, a larger panel.
  • iPhone 16 Pro. 6.3 inches, 120Hz ProMotion and an always-on display. Bigger than the old Pro, with slimmer borders.
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max. 6.9 inches, the largest iPhone panel of its year, and the most expensive part. An iPhone 16 Pro Max screen repair takes a little more care because of the size.

The price table on this page lists each one, and any version showing Call for price just needs a quick call. Where we offer more than one option, we explain the difference and quote both. On the Pro phones, tell us if you want to keep 120Hz.

Camera Control and slimmer borders

The iPhone 16 family added the Camera Control button on the side of the phone. It's separate from the screen, but a hard drop can damage the frame near it, so we test it along with everything else. The Pro models have thinner borders than earlier Pros, and there's less margin for error in the fit, so a good seal around the edge matters.

What about True Tone and Face ID?

True Tone relies on calibration data stored in your original screen. On many models we can carry that across if the old panel can still be read, and we tell you before we start if yours can't. Without it, the phone works normally, but the screen won't adapt its color to room light.

Face ID sensors stay in the phone during a screen swap, so a careful repair doesn't affect them. A hard drop can, and a failed sensor can't be fixed by a new screen. That's when Apple is the better choice.

What you give up with an independent repair

We want you to choose with the full picture. An independent screen will show as Unknown under Settings, General, About, Parts and Service History. Apple says that can affect trade-in value. Repairs outside Apple aren't covered by Apple's warranty, so any remaining AppleCare or warranty won't extend to our work. And no repair can promise factory water resistance afterward.

What you get in return is a working phone today at a clear price, with a 90-day warranty on parts. Labor may apply.

Before you come in

Call so we can confirm your panel, then book a time or walk in. Back up your phone first, and bring your passcode so we can test it afterward. See all iPhone screen repair options, or check our iPhone 15 screen page if you have the earlier model. Our screen cost guide breaks down what affects the price.

Needed my laptop keyboard replaced, but I couldn’t be without my laptop for a few days. I bought the replacement keyboard on Amazon and found him through Yelp. After watching a YouTube video, I quickly realized it was more complicated than I wanted to tackle myself! He replaced the keyboard within a couple of hours, and I picked it up the same day. Straightforward, fast, and clearly knows what he’s doing. Highly recommend!

Came in with a iPhone SE 2016 with 64% battery health. Was told at another store that they wouldn’t be able to help. At Nova Fix Alex fixed it for me in under an hour for $60! Super worth it, fast and efficient!! Thank you!

What do people ask us?

How much is an iPhone 16 screen replacement?

Call us for today's price on your exact model. iPhone 16 panels aren't on our listed prices yet, and four phones use four different screens. We confirm the number when you call or send a quote request. You will have the price before any work starts, and it won't change without your approval.

Will Face ID still work after the repair?

A hard hit can damage Face ID before we ever open the phone, so we test it at check-in and tell you what we see. If it passes, it should keep working. The hardware sits at the top of the phone, and we handle that area with care during a screen swap.

Will I get a non-genuine display message?

Yes, you should expect one. After an independent repair, the phone can't verify the display, so it shows a notice on first unlock and five days later. The display is then listed as Unknown in Parts and Service History. It doesn't stop the phone from working, but you should know before you decide.

Can you do it the same day?

Most screen repairs are done the same day, and many in about 30 minutes. iPhone 16 panels may need to be ordered for some versions, which usually takes 1 to 3 business days. Call ahead and we will confirm whether yours is here. That way you won't make a wasted trip to Chicago Ave.

Should I go to Apple if my iPhone 16 is under AppleCare?

Usually, yes. If you have AppleCare+, the service fee is often lower than an independent repair, and we would rather tell you that than take the job. If your coverage has ended or you need it fixed quickly, we can help. Compare the prices and pick what suits you.
